Okay, so I should probably be used to how this series rolls with its surprises, but no, every time I start a new installment, it's like being slammed with twists the very first time where I'm thinking holy smokes, no way! What was special about Two Roads is that Juliette is finally allowed a little bit of breathing space and Jase and Elliot are back in the picture and there's more Jase and Juliette one-on-one time. I have always loved the interactions between Juliette and Jase, not just because of their history and the feelings, but because when they talk, the conversation is so real and brutally honest. Even if something isn't said out loud, they can read each other like a book, and the other person can still see through to the other. What's unique is that Juliette, who has always had such a strong resolve on the outside because her need for revenge, fueled by her desire to instill pain in retribution for her own, finally crumbles. There have been glimpses of this side of Juliette in the past, but nothing like this. I felt her sorrow every time she thought about her father or the conversation was about him. What Juliette faces in this volume is pretty devastating, because amidst the beauty and hope is also quite a bit of ugly. The silver lining in all of it is Jase, wonderful, loving and amazing Jase. I don't think I can express just how much I love Jase and his devotion to Juliette. Because this is Juliette's story, it is often forgotten that what Jase has lived through and experienced was no easier than her path. The emotions in this volume are intense because there's such a range of them. As far as where this story leads to, danger still lurks out there somewhere and the cliffhanger hits where it hurts the most, a split between protecting the innocent and being caught and pulled into the wrong direction. I don't know if I should be relieved and thankful that there's only 1 more book left in this series or pulling my hair out in frustration because these characters consume me and there has to be so much more to come, but at the same time, the constant anticipation and excitement about what will happen next is nerve-wracking! This is definitely not an anti-climactic series, each part packs such a punch that it's impossible not to be hooked.Product details

Oh goodness...... I honestly don't know what to say that won't spoil anything!!
If you've been reading along w/this series you KNOW this hasn't been an easy ride (to say the least lol). This is not a sunshine and rainbows type series. We left those long ago.
In true Lili fashion, she keeps pushing my boundaries. Just when I think I can't take anymore. She makes me. No choice. She just makes me lol. And I am kicking and screaming the entire time!!!
Oh the FEELS!!!!!! They were all over the place. Sad, mad, pissed, LIVID, sad, LIVID again, happy and swooning, sad again (bawling), LIVID, sad....... Well you get it lolol. Gah my emotions went thru the mill w/this installment!!! And in all that pissyness? All that heartache? I'd read it again! And I would tell you to Read it!! That's how f'd up Lili has made me!
Bottom line. If you are like me and have been dying for this book? Well, BUCKLE UP and ride it out. Or take half a Xanax ;) Worked for me bahahaha!!!!

This book in the Gypsy Brothers series didn't have the same dark, action-packed allure as earlier books in the series. Focusing primarily on Juliette's recovery, both physically and mentally, as she struggles with her addiction to heroin following her escape from Dornan, this book fell short of my expectations for the series. At the same time, I can see that the book was essential to the progression of the storyline, laying the groundwork for upcoming events to be revealed in the final book.
This book covered a lot of emotional ground (grief, loss, shame, etc.) in a very short span of time. As with other series of this type, the end result was that things felt kind of forced and rushed.
Not the most exciting book in the series by a long shot, but it ends with a flurry of activity. The cliffhanger ending promises that the last book in the series will be explosive. I am looking forward to seeing how it all ends for Juliette.
I'm just going to put an "Out of Order" sign on my forehead and call it a day. Phew! That pretty much sums up what's left of my brain when I finished this book. OH. MY!!! This read was a
mind train of epic proportions. My hatred for Dornan has escalated to now a pure unadulterated hatred...so much so, that I've imagined 100 different ways he should die. Dornan epitomizes everything in this world that is dark, disturbing and evil. ICK!
Juliette and Jase have got to be two of the most gut gripping people I have ever read about. These two grab a hold of your soul and don't let go. Damn!! I felt every single ounce of fear and pain and at the end....dude...I was holding my breath.
It can't end like that. These two have been through to much for it to just end.... This is where they will both find out truly what they are made of. From this moment forward these two will find out just how full of strength they really are.
And Elliott...OH. MY. GOD!!! I wasn't prepared for that!! Inwardly I am screaming. No! That is unacceptable!!
Two Roads is amazing and beautiful and disturbing! All the ingredients for DARK and heart gripping. The gut twisting pain and sorrow one will experience during and after the end slams into you! Take a bite, enjoy that! I call Lili Saint Germain the mind screwing mastermind! She's brilliant at eliciting every emotion one can possibly feel. Two Roads is definitely a FIVE STAR read for me...
