If you're looking for an Irish Elmore Leonard... well, this isn't exactly it but it's close. After all, no one can replace the master. I did like how the hapless sweethearts kept on getting separated and the quirky-ish criminals, molls and cops (both good and bad) they encountered.
This was a very well written little crime novel. The story is fast paced and the humor is wonderfully witty. Anyone who wants to soak up some Irish culture and have a few laughs at the same time should grab this book with both hands...!
I purchased this bood by mistake it was intermixed with Elmore Leonard books and I thought it was Elmore Leonard. I couldn't get interested in it and am trying to get a credit -somehow that option is not available for this item.
I purchased this book by mistake. I got it mixed up with a couple of Elmore Leonard books I was purchasing. I read the first few chapters and deleted the book. I didn't like the writing style. It was based in Europe and seemed pretty stupid compared to the series of Elmore Leonard books I've been reading...
slow moving, could not finish a poor read
I was reminded of "Pulp Fiction" and "Lock, Stock and Smoking Barrel". This is a story of how a lost or stolen wallet leads to murder and mayhem as told from the viewpoint of each of the well drawn and interesting characters. Plenty of dark humor and plot twists.
Some good twists, a good little mystery, good characters. Good details but I Wish I knew what happened to Thomas in the end!!! Tell me Leonard!
